No tenía juicio. ¡Estaba impresionado! • The King of Mind

I Once upon a time, the King of Mind was angry. There was a Temple in the Palace where he worshipped at the Altar of The Self - as had generations of Kings and Queens of Mind before him. The Self would guide them as to how to guide the Kingdom. But for months, now - maybe even years – The Self kept saying “feel your Own, Unique Experience - feel it in its totality – the people coming and going – the air around you, the birds – the textures of your emotions”. In the Summer Self had said “feel your Experience - feel the weight of your body”. In the Autumn “feel your Experience - feel how invisible energies flow through you”. In the Winter “feel your Experience - feel every emotion fully”. In the Spring “feel your Experience - feel how you fit inseperably into everything”. But all year long Self had said “feel your Own Experience: soon you will come to sense that Certainty is an Impossibility - that everything exists beyond definition - wondrous, resplendent and astonishing - and you will come to love it all!” II The King of Mind was not at all happy about the Impossibility of Certainty. “Of what can I be Certain?” he asked himself. “Nothing!” he replied - and threw his golden sceptre angrily from his throne, skidding across the polished, palatial marble floor. The King was in an awful mood! “Get out of my sight!” he bellowed at his eager and faithful advisors, who were: The Five Senses – who never left his side. The Sixth Sense – who lived in a tree house in the Palace Gardens. Intelligence – the Palace Librarian. Emotional Awareness who organised the Palace Festivities. And, of course, Preposterous the Pontificate, the Palace Astrologer – often seen dancing with Angels and Dwarves. “You are all conditioned, and you all have limited perception. You are all therefore fallible and unreliable - and of no use to me at all in ascertaining Certain Truth” the King of Mind lamented, irrefutably. “Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear” he muttered, down-heartedly, to himself “I can´t even be Certain I can´t be Certain... Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.” III The King sought respite, like so many Kings before him, in the ancient Royal Tradition of Bullying... Messengers accompanied by trumpeteers would ride from village to village and proclaim: “Let the person who Knows Certainty come before the King! Come ye who are the Wisest of the Wise! Come ye Greatest of Minds!” And queues formed around the Palace Walls comparable only to the modern day queues that form around street corners on the issue of a next generation iphone. And one by one, they who Claimed to Know Certainty would come before the King... Mocking and humiiating them was indeed a relief. The laughter of the King of Mind would resound around the walls of his audience chambers... “You can´t be serious! You can't be serious about being Certain! Don´t you see the Impossibility of Certainty?! You are self-deceiving, arrogant fools!” he would chuckle, delightedly - before savagely tearing apart their dearmost beliefs – the way he tore up roast hog leg at Palace Banquets. “I have Certainty because I have a holy book”, the Wisest of the Wise would proffer, meekly. “I have Certainty because I have scientific proof”, the Wisest of the Wise would assert, ingenuously. “You fools! You fools!” the King would roar, intoxicatedly. “Can´t you see you decide to accept your truth as THE truth based on the advice of your advisors - who (he would repeat, with exaggerated patience) are all conditioned and limited - and therefore fallible and unreliable?!” Thus one by one, the Wisest of the Wise would be ushered from the King´s audience chambers, the way fat and bones were swept from the Banqueting Hall floor, the next morning, after the banquet was done. Some who made the Claim to Certainty were almost as stubborn as the King of Mind with his Born-Again Anti-Certainty: “I was blessed with Absolute Knowledge in an NDE - on DMT – while meditating, out of my body - when I accepted Jesus into my heart - when my Guru touched my third eye - so I KNOW!” they would insist, as if by pouring the gravy of inpenetrably-private, unsharably-personal mysticism all over their Experience they could somehow trick the King. Ha! Of course they couldn´t! The King of Mind was relentless. He was powerful, indomitable, uncontradictable, unconquerable... Almost All Knowing in his Not Knowing! “Yes, but” he would begin, softly - like a hunter stalking a hog “all you can honestly say is that among the vast array of vying Certainties, you have chosen YOUR Certainty in consultation with your personal advisors, who are all (… am I repeating myself - my goodness - yes, I think I am!...) - who are ALL CONDITIONED AND LIMITED! You FELT it was God speaking to you - but your feeling is conditioned and limited. You BELIEVED it was Jesus, or Universal Revelation, or The Voice of Absolute Truth - but your believing is conditioned and limited! Yes, therefore, dare I say it, you could be mistaken! You cannot be Certain your Certainty is the most Certain! Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear..." And thus the Greatest Minds in the Kingdom fell before the intellectual might of the King of Mind with predicatable inevitability - and Not Knowing reigned supreme - until, once upon a time... IV One day, when the King of Mind was happily, dreamily lost in the well-trimmed bush maze in the Palace Gardens, a Little Dwarf Girl with eyes like stars, and a voice like an underground stream, pulled on the the King´s left trouser leg... The King looked down, and she looked up - and as she smiled she whispered: "was it not you, my Lord, who said 'I can´t even be Certain I can´t be Certain'"? The Little Dwarf Girl's sweet voice swirled around the mind of the King of Mind - as if washing it out from within. And with a shocked, horrified expression upon his royal face - the King of Mind fell heavily to the grass - like a big, broken branch. It was the Truth beyond Truths - the Knowing beyond All Knowings! It was both Ultimate Certainty and Ultimate Uncertainty - the undeniable, final and complete frustration: yes, it was Imposible to be Certain About Anything At All! The King did not get up. His head was empty - like the sky. He lay looking up, while the Little Dwarf Girl looked down. He took her hand gently in his. And she kissed him upon his brow. Courtiers would come, and Courtiers would go... "It's time for your bath, great King!" "The Banquet Table is set, great King!" But he sushed them all away. He wanted only to be with the Little Dwarf Girl - who, from time to time, would sing. Day after day, and night after night, the King of Mind lay on the ground, on the grass path in the bush maze in the Palace Gardens - listening to the Little Dwarf Girl sing, and listening to the sky. Until, one morning when the Palace Courtiers arrived to announce breakfast, they saw: the King of Mind had gone. V In the fairytale tradition of Kings in Disguise - wandering among the peasantry - hooded, in rags - the King of Mind now wandered and watched, and listened and felt. People were so Certain! People were so Certain about what they believed. People were so Certain about what needed to be done... They were Certain God existed. They were Cerain God didn´t. They were certain about the Laws of Science, Politics and Football. They were Certain about right and wrong. They were Certain about why and who and how and where and when... And it was as Self had said it would be: they were wondrous, resplendent, astonishing! “And you will come to love them all!” “And you will come to love them all!” The King felt a magnificence in their confidence. He had no judgement. He was impressed! He no longer thought "what fools!" He had not lost his discriminatory capacities. He could still think and decide. But now it seemed that people held their Certainties like newborn babies - oh so tenderly - and that their Certainties lit their hearts... And big, round, unfamiliar tears rolled down his hooded, hidden, royal cheeks. Now it seemed they held their Certainties tenderly - and yet, simultaneously - like flaming swords - fiercely, protectively... "This was me!" he mumbled, as tears and mucus flowed from his eyes and nose, compassionately. "I cradled The Impossibility of Certainty as if it was my child and royal heir - fighting off all pretenders to the throne - and I was so afraid of Uncertainty, I made Uncertainty a Certainty" he confessed. And the King of Mind looked with love, forgivingly, upon the person he had once been – just as he now looked upon everyone. And though the King of Mind would always be the King of Mind, and no fool, and alert to intellectual dishonesty, and aware of the Conflictive Consequences of Certainties – his intelectually-undefended heart broke open! Like great rusty Palace Gates unopened for years - for centuries, even, perhaps - the Gates of the Heart of the King of Mind opened painfully, joyfully - with love. People were wondrous, resplendent, astonishing! Perhaps they were foolish - perhaps fear had them by the balls (or ovaries) - but they were SO HUMAN! Each one so unique - everyone so the same! And so it was that - with the Palace Gates of his Heart wide open - the King of Mind wandered on - day after day, night after night - begging for food, sleeping in barns - beyond judgement - overwhelmed by EVERY person's unique, irrepeatable wonderfulness - loving himself, loving us all. VI Until... on the final day of his wanderings - on the day before the day he had decided he would return to his throne, to his well-meaning advisors, and to the Angels and Dwarves who played in the Palace Gardens - the reconfigured King of Mind came upon two Knights in Armour, swords drawn from their sheaths - about to duel. "Keep your distance, beggarman - for the edges of our swords cut through flesh like hog lard!” said the noblemen to the King beyond recognition. But at that moment – some say most Certainly by meaningful synchonicity, some say most Certainly by meaningless coincidence, some say most Certainly by divine will, some most Certainly by karma, some most Certainly by luck - the light of the midday sun bounced blindingly off of the armour of the duelling Knights - creating a perfectly circular halo around the beggarman's head. Both Knights fell upon one knee, and lowered their heads - in the posture of a knightly pledge. "Forgive us, oh Saintly One!" they begged - we were so absorbed in our duel, that the obviousness of your saintliness escaped us. The King of Mind didn't mind being mistaken for a Saint. He didn´t for a moment think it was true. "What is the nature of your duel? he asked. But as they began to speak, the King of Mind realised that, in the past, in such a situation, his intention (in his most generous of moods) would have been to chop up their Certainties with the Knife of the Impossibility of Certainty, sit them down at the Banquet Table of Humility - and let them feast upon the most delicious Roast Hog of Friendship beyond Certainties... But as they began to speak the King of Mind realised that he'd left that Chopping Knife in the Palace Gardens bush maze with the Little Dwarf Girl - his Angel of Honesty - and that now he had no intention at all. The King of Mind had no intention. But he had wonder. And he had love. “I forgive you, I forgive you!” said the hooded, haloed Beggar King. And without any prior intention to say what he then said - said “now sheath your swords, and bring out your ale. I want to fully understand. Explain to me in full your irreconcilable and duel-worthy differences.” And so the two Noble Knights, whose similarities far outweighed their differences – as do everyone´s – talked and drank - regaling the Saintly Beggar King with tales of ancestral treacheries, of pacts and betrayals, and dignities lost and refound - until, as sometimes happens in fairytales – they looked around and found: they had been inexplicably transported, and inexplicably seated at the Banqueting Table of the King of Mind – where they were laughing, and slapping each other´s backs, and feasting upon his very best roast hog! * Mark Josephs, "Mark the Mystic Activist" Aragon, Spain Summer, 2024 This article will be part of the (very expanded) third edition of "Love & Revolution" (the foundational text of The Conscious Tribes Project) due out later this year.   You'll be able to download it for free, listen to it for free, or buy it as a paperback (at cost of print and post).

¡No! ¡No! • The Myth of Progressive Evolution & The Idea Of Going Back

WHAT DID PEOPLE TALK ABOUT WHEN WE LIVED IN CAVES? In my opinion, most of us are very conditioned into the idea of Progressive Evolution – into the idea that as a species, and as a global civilization, we are on an irreversable path of ever–increasing, perhaps–infinite self–improvement and sophistication. When people dare to question the self–evident nature of this resplendent collective self–image by suggesting, let´s say, for example – that cities are not good for your health, or sanity – they are quickly attacked with insults about being “regressive”. “What? you want everyone to move back to the countryside – and live in bamboo huts?!” The creed of Progressive Evolution states that the human species is always progressing. And of this there can be no doubting. There will, of course (the more humble admit) be minor issues that sometimes arise – unfortunate, unforseen complications that arise on our heroic journey of becoming (you know - the dessication of the elements, species genocides, the numbing of the collective human heart) – but these side–issues in no way undermine our fudamental premise: that we are continually improving, that things are always getting better – and that we've got to keep going, that there's no turning back... Turning back would mean returning to the middle ages, to times of darkness and plagues. The further we look back in history, the more primitive people were – we´re convinced of it. The further back we look the more ignorance we see – the more dirt and disease, and illiteracy, and conflict based on superstition. Going all the way back to the caves we have a vision of conversations that went something like this: “Ug, ug, ug?” one person asks (although we feel that even our use of the word “person” is generous on our part – that, in actual fact, these creatures were barely human). “Ug?” replies another “person” (are they asking for clarification as to the exact nature of the question? We doubt it. Are they just joining in with the questoning vibe – like when one dog barking sets off all the others? That seems more probable to us. Or are they just wondering out loud, randomly, about nothing? That seems the most likely of all. On what is our caricature of their conversations based? Nothing! Do we have recordings of their conversations? No! Do we know their technology was less complex than ours? Yes. Does this mean their conversations wer less sophisticated? No! Is it possible that these ancient, ancient ancestors of ours had more finely atuned senses than ours? Yes! A better sense of smell? Yes! A closer connection to “the animals” (a word we, “the progressed”, use to distinguish “us” from “them”)? Were the minds of these people not bound, as ours tend to be, by this arbitrary discrimination – and were they, therefore, more aware of themselves as one–type–of–creature surrounded by other–types–of–creatures (other animals, fish, birds, insects, trees...) – and therefore more capable of sensing the existential equality of all creatures? I would imagine so – yes! As we begin to question the unquestionable idea Progressive Evolution, we see that unless we limit “progress” to meaning “the increasing complexity of technology”, or “increasing expertise in the manipulation of matter”, or something like that – it is an extremely questionable concept. It quickly becomes difficult to believe in Progressive Evolution as some sort of all–governing, inexorable, unavoidable, irreversible, natural law – the great, cosmic ocean current upon which the ship of humanity is destined to ride. Is it possible that our ancestors who didn´t have bulldozers or cranes or cement or plastic or glass, and who lived in caves, sat around the fire and engaged in metaphysical and existential debates every bit as sophisticated as our own? (I will refrain here from commenting on the level of intellectual refinement to be heard in most modern day conversations – not wanting to push my case too hard!) Is it possible that they dabated as to whether the wind was actually a god, with a distinct personality of its own, or whether different winds exhibited different personalities? Is it possible they wondered whether wondering whether the wind, or winds, had personalites was all anthropomorphism – or, at least, the projection of human attributes upon a non-human element which had, perhaps, attributes of which they were unable to conceive? Is it possible they had such conversations? Yes, of course it is! Why, just because their technology was so much simpler than our own, do we go on to assume they were stupid? In my opinion, the Idea of Progressive Evolution (the belief that “that´s the way existence goes – everything, always, and in all ways, just get better and better”) is a just myth, a dogma. BACKWARDS WOULD BE FORWARDS Having loosened up our conditioning a little – we can now look at the direction of modern civilisation more clearly. Now that we have taken off the glasses of inevitable Progressive Evolution – and can make a less fundamentalistic evaluation – we are free to ask if we´ve gone too far (without being ridiculed as “regressive”). We are free to ask whether the way forward might indeed be to take some steps back. Is the global, civilisational trend towards increasingly complex technological dependency, and increasing distance from the natural world – from our flesh and blood belonging within the natural world – progressive? Are we “progressing” too far? In the first part of this article I hope I exposed The Myth of Progressive Evolution as an extremely dubious creed, as an unquestioned collective assumption – and as an inflated self-image. But what is “too far”? How far is “just far enough”? What is The Balance Point? For me, because I feel I belong to Life and Death, because I feel I am part-of Existence – because I feel that I exist as an equal with every other human being and every other living creature – I feel we act upon The Balance Point when we consider the existence of “everyone else” - the wellbeing of the other animals, insects, trees, bushes, plants, fish, insects and birds with whom we share this planet, or dimension, or reality, or whatever we like to call it... From this point of view, genetic modification with irreversible, unknown consequences is “going to far”. Chemical additives in our food and water with unknown consequences, pharmaceutical drugs with unknown consequences, geoengineering with unknown consequences (I could go on) – all of this behaviour is “going too far” - because it goes beyond The Balance Point at which we co-exist respectfully, as equals, with “everyone else”. From this point of view, permacultural, biodynamic and regenerative agricutural practices that consider “everyone else” (and we are are also part of “everyone”) - are a step back from monocultural, toxin-soaked, mass-productive agriculture – but because we have overstepped The Balance Point – the way forwards means we need to step back from the industrialisation, mechanisation and digitalisation of everything. Yes – everything! With accelerating success since the Industrial Revolution we have “progressed” further and further into asphalted urban envirnoments, and disembodied virtual environments – leaving The Balance Point of respectful co-existence with Life and Death far, far behind. I am not saying that technology is evil. I am not saying we should return to the caves – and debate metaphysics in the sunset! I am saying that we have been indoctrinated with the idea of Progressive Evolution, and live today in a state of techno-intoxication that is Out of Balance – and that, therefore, the way forwards is now backwards. Not to the caves! To the Balance Point at which our technologies and ways of life are respectful of everyone else. • Puppy Love & The Question of Cosmic Benevolence

“Does life love us?” my Mummy told me was the most important question I would ever ask - and that my answer would shape my world. I was still a puppy at the time, but I already half-understood that there were worlds with different shapes. I left the others and went for a stroll in the hills. Up and down, up and down, went the hills. And up and down, up and down, went I. I found water in a stream, and lay down on my tummy in the shade of an oak, front paws crossed casually, contemplatively. The Earth could be flat and loving... It could be round and loving... It could be round and not loving at all... I wondered about shapes and love... Could the sky see me? I could see it! Did it love me? Or was it empty blue? There were lots of flies, and sometimes I´d catch one. They were crunchy. Even then I already found flies fascinating. Up and down and sideways all seemed the same to them. But thinking about flies made me dizzy. And if I thought about the shapes of their worlds I´d almost pass out. I looked up and down and around and around... “Life? Love? Us? Me?” I asked the wind in the oak, and the flies in the wind... “Life loves itself” I heard the hills reply. But perhaps that was because I´m a dog. What if I was a fly? Would I have heard the same? Maybe. But maybe not! And who´s to say the voice in a dog´s head is superior to the voice in the head of a fly? II The sun was setting, and I felt like going home. So down I went, down the hills - down and up, down and up - until I could see the others. I saw them, and they saw me - and our hearts jumped up, and bounced about with love - and we rolled about, and bit each other with joy. Dusk came, night came, and we all cuddled up next to Mummy´s hot tummy, and suckled ourselves to sleep. one by one... I was the last one awake. “So what´s your answer - does Life love us, or not?” Mummy whispered gently. “I feel intellectually ambiguous, Mummy”, I said. And I closed my eyes - and I never again saw the day I went for a stroll, and drank from a stream, and heard the voice of the hills. III As I slept I could feel the night on my fur, and my tummy full of milk, and Mummy´s front legs around me - and it was then: without me asking, that my answer came to me... First I dreamt of two puppies fighting - one named “this”, and one named “that”. One was white, and one was black - but they were indistiguishable - and their fight, I knew, went on and on and on. As I turned away from their interminable debate - the wind from the hills picked me up - and threw me about until I couldn´t tell up from down from sideways... I laughed and laughed and thought “maybe it´s not so bad to be a fly!” Until, then, the hills themselves spoke again: “Don´t ask ´does Life love me?´ they said, “ask ´do I love Life?´ Only by loving Life can we truly know if Life loves us.” And at that moment I would have been happy to be a fly or a dog or the wind - because I knew the sun was waiting to play - and that when I awoke I would hug the world and the world would hug me - the way the morning mist and the hills hug each other - and I knew that as I grew up my world would take the shape of a hug. * Mark Josephs "Mark the Mystic Activist" Aragon, Spain Summer 2024 CONSCIOUS TRIBES Seeds of a New Culture www.tribusconscientes.com

¿Me quería? ¿O era vacío azul? Habían muchas moscas, y a veces a alguna la atrapaba. Eran crujientes. Miré arriba y abajo y a mi alrededor... "¿Vida"? “¿Amor?” “¿Nosotros?” "Me siento intelectualmente ambiguo, Mamá", dije.

  • The Shared Path of a Conscious Tribe

The members of a Conscious Tribe walk a path – together: a path of presence, intimacy and freedom. What do they mean by “a path of presence”? They share an intuition, a recognition: that the only thing each person has is their own, unique direct-experience of the present moment. But they also admit that they don´t tend to live that recognition, that they tend to live “out of themselves” - not experiencing their direct-experience! So they are committed to learning to live their recognition, individually – and to supporting each other in living their recognition. As they learn, together, to live “inside” their direct-experience they come face-to-face with the ways in which they are resisting life – their self-deprecation, their fear, their shame... And they learn, together, to gently, non-judgementally, let go of their resistances – and thus directly-experience the sacred beauty of The Great Mystery, unencumbered – and remember their sacred belonging. * The path the members of a Conscious Tribe share is a path of presence – but it is also a path of intimacy. What do they mean by “a path of intimacy”? As they learn to stay “inside” their own direct-experience, and their belonging, through their daily lives (not just when they´re meditating!) - they discover that everyone else is also within their unique experience - whether consciously or not - and they come to see everyone as a unique face, a unique expression, of The Great Mystery. As they become disidentified from their resistance to the sacred moment – and self-forgiving, and self-loving - they see gently beyond the often unkind ways in which they behave when they are “out of themselves” - and they remember the pleasure and happiness of living “in-themselves”, in their essence. And they learn to see everyone´s essence, and to relate from essence to essence. And because that essence is the same in us all – when essence meets essence it meets itself. And the nature of that meeting is love. Not romantic love. Not even the love we might feel for our families or friends, but the most exquisite universal love. * The shared path of the members of a Conscious Tribe is a path of presence (that returns them to the sacred beauty of their belonging within The Great Mystery), and it is also a path of intimacy (that returns us them each other, to their oneness, and to universal love) – but it is also a path of freedom. What do they mean by “a path of freedom”? As the members of a Conscious Tribe learn to live in presence and intimacy, they come to know a freedom that is deeper than any social or political or economic freedom. They know they are part of life - and that life itself is free. They no longer feel limited by the conventions or expectations of their societies. They become capable of living a more expansive existence. They become courageous. The members of a Conscious Tribe support each other in making minor and major practical decisions to align their lives with this feeling of freedom. This process of alignment - of aligning the practicalities of their everyday lives with the presence, intimacy and freedom they feel – is their contribution to the manifestation and co-creation of a new, conscious culture. * Mark the Mystic Activist Aragon, Spain.

  • The Professor, Mice, Thumping and Crumbs & An Infinity Of Subjectivities

This short story (one page only) is taken from a “Radical Subjectivity: Understanding It”, a new chapter in the third edition of Love & Revolution coming out later this year. The full chapter is attached in the .pdf below. The essential theme is that we can really-really-really unite when each of accepts we only have our own, limited, fallible, subjective experience. Once upon a time there lived a professor, in a house full of mice. Well the house wasn´t full of mice – not yet – there were still corners and shelves for more – but there were lots of them, and most of them lived under the staircase. The mice were thankful for The Thumping. The Thumping was caused by the professor whose larder was downstairs and study upstairs, who claimed regular snacking helped him think, and who - throughout the day, and sometimes the night - would thump his way up and down the stairs chewing and nibling and munching thoughtfully - letting crumbs fall indiscriminately from his sandwiches and cakes. The crumbs would tumble through the gaps between the stairs in the old wooden staircase, like a shower of blessing, upon the community of grateful mice. “Hallowed Be The Thumping” the most venerable Top Shaman Mouse woud squeak, solemnly, as the shower of crumbs rained upon them. “Amen, amen!” the faithful among the mice would agree, hungrily – while the Top Notch Scientific Mice would analyse samples of staircase-sawdust and samples of cake-crumbs, and forward theories as to how an auditory catalyst could provoke such a molecular metamorphosis. The fact of the matter is that it really didn´t matter what you believed. Thumping meant crumbs – and feasts and festivals were organised to coincide with days of great Thumping, and not a mouse went hungry while there was Thumping in the house. Albeit indirectly, the professor was therefore extremely popular among the mice. He was not, however, at all popular with human beings. Despite his world renown for his endlessly quoted aphorism “an infinity of subjectivities do not make an objectivity” - his neighbours found him argumentative, pendantic, impatient and often unapologetically rude. “What a lovely day!” Mrs Whoppit from next door would call out cheerily, while trimming her roses, to the professor as he made his way, munching, to the postbox on his garden gate. “It might be a lovely day for you, Mrs Whoppit. But let´s suppose that today reminded someone of the day their child died. Would it be a lovely day for them? I think not, Mrs Whoppit. Perhaps be more careful when you speak!” Such were the professor´s typical responses to the innocent, friendly communications of his neighbours. Then, one day, unexpectedly, the professor died. And with him, The Thumping. There was no Thumping no more. The house remained empty and to be honest, most people were relieved he was gone. Not so, however, the mice. But neither the religious nor the scientific among them were shaken in their faith. If anything, for all of them, the connection between Thumping and crumbs was further confirmed. For once there had been Thumping upon the stairs, and crumbs had showered upon them. And now there was no Thumping no more – and believe what you will, or analyse it as you will – but there weren´t any crumbs either. Time passed, and though they had no crumbs, the mice thrived – populating every shelf and corner with their young – until the house was filled with an infinity of mice. Then one night there was the most terrible storm. The mice huddled together under the staircase as the whole house shook. Thump, thump, thump went the thunder – and crumbs that had remained lodged within the gaps in the stairs were dislodged, and fell upon the frightened mice. “Hallelujah!” squealed the Top Shaman Mouse. “Hallelujah!” came the joyful response. “Fascinating, fascinating – an external auditory catalyst” the Top Notch Mouse Scientists remarked eruditely, nodding knowingly to each other. And thus the self-evident, objective truth of the causal, creative connection between Thumping and crumbs (that thumps create crumbs) was re-confirmed, one stormy night, by an infinity of mice. * Mark Josephs “Mark the Mystic Activist” Aragon, Spain Summer 2024 CONSCIOUS TRIBES Seeds of a New Culture www.tribusconscientes.com READ THE FU LL CHAPTER HERE:

Sessions are usually between an hour and an hour and a half, and are free of charge - although a donation to support the Conscious Tribes project is always appreciated. If you would like to share the experience of a Conscious Relating session with Mark, get in touch by email. Sessions can be for individuals, couples or groups. Mark's email address is: markthemysticactivist@protonmail.com * MONTHLY OPEN MEETINGS ON ZOOM We´ll be meeting to experience the practice of Conscious Relating - and share, monthly, from June to December. The meetings will be open to everyone. No need to have attended a workshop, taken a course, or had a private session. Everyone´s welcome. The meetings will be free of charge (donations to support the Conscious Tribes project are always appreciated). The meetings will be from 20h to 22h C.E.T (Spanish Time), on the third Monday of each month. The dates are: June 17, July 15, August 19, September 16, October 14, November 18, December 16. If you want to take part in a meeting, all you have to do is send an email to conscious_tribes@tutanota.com (and you´ll receive an email with the link to join the meeting). * ONLINE COURSES We offer an online course "Conscious Relationships, Conscious Communities" twice a year – once in the spring, and once in the autumn/fall. The spring course is now over, but you can already book your place on the autumn/fall course. You can find all the information about the course on the support page: www.tribusconscientes.com/support-apoyo * ONE DAY WORKSHOP (HUESCA) This spring Mark moved from Catalonia to Aragon, and people are now weaving a new Conscious Tribe there, in a natural and organic way. After the summer there will be a free, one-day workshop: "CONSCIOUS RELATIONSHIPS - The Basis Of An Alternative, Conscious Culture ". It is primarily intended to introduce the Conscious Tribes approach to new people in the local area - but it´s open to everyone. You don't have to live nearby. If you're interested, you're welcome. You can find all the information about the workshop on the support page: www.tribusconscientes.com/support-apoyo And if you are already a community, or a group of interested people living in the same area, Mark's offer to come and run a weekend workshop especially for you is still open. Again, you can find all the information on the support page: www.tribusconscientes.com/support-apoyo * LIKE TO COLLABORATE?   We are looking for people to collaborate with us on the Noticeboard and Outreach. (1) The Noticeboard - we used to offer a Noticeboard where people could express their interest in developing a Conscious Tribe in their local area, and get in touch with like-minded people. At a certain point the volunteer who maintained the Noticeboard was no longer able to do so, and it was discontinued. We´d like to be able to offer this free service again. If you might be interested in taking on this responsibility, we´d love to hear from you. Please contact Mark by email: conscious_tribes@tutanota.com Thanks! (2) Outreach - right now the Conscious Tribes project has a website and a Telegram channel (in Spanish and English). Nothing else. It doesn´t have a social media presence. Nor have we made an effort to get in touch with similar or parallel projects - to create mutually beneficial links. If you feel you´d like to support the Conscious Tribes Project as a volunteer in this area, we´d love to hear from you. Again - get in touch by email: conscious_tribes@tutanota.com Thanks! * THE BLOG Here are some links to recent articles and stories/poems from the blog.... • El Boletín de Primavera

¡Hola! ¡Gracias! * EL BLOG Aquí tienes unos enlaces a artículos y cuentos/poemas recientes que han salido en el blog: Creas lo Que Creas, Estás en Una Secta -  La Historia Reveladora de Bob el Mesías Ardilla y La Rebelión de la Joven Dora https://www.tribusconscientes.com/post/creas-lo-que-creas-estás-en-una-secta La Meditación en el Corazón de la Tribu Consciente https://www.tribusconscientes.com/post/la-meditación-en-el-corazón-de-la-tribu-consciente Las Tribus Conscientes, el Poliamor y lo Erótico https://www.tribusconscientes.com/post/las-tribus-conscientes-el-poliamor-lo-erótico Canta Como Si Todo Estuviera Escuchando https://www.tribusconscientes.com/post/canta-como-si-todo-estuviera-escuchando El Localismo Consciente – Una Política Unitiva para una Cultura Consciente https://www.tribusconscientes.com/post/el-localismo-consciente-una-política-unitiva-para-una-cultura-consciente ¿Cómo Conocer a Dios? ¡Fácil! https://www.tribuscnscientes.com/post/cómo-conocer-a-dios-fácil * Gracias por tu interés en el proyecto.
