STEP ONE: ADMIT YOU´RE MAD

Reality is a wonder

beyond all definition.

And yet...

which governments remind their citizens

that reality is a wonder

beyond all definition?

Which corporate directors remind their shareholders

that the fact that reality exists

is a wonder

beyond all definition?

Which media outlets

its publics?

Which universities and schools and kindergardens

its students?

Which commanders

its armed forces?

Who anywhere?

Who won´t let us forget

we are all part of

a vast, wondrous situation?

Every creature, every season, every sky and dawn -

a wonder.

And you, you, my friend...

Who in the office,

who in the car,

who in the supermarket,

who watching a movie

is feeling:

I am a wonder,

you are a wonder -

every one of us

a wonder

beyond all definition?

Secular authorities deny wonder.

Religious authorities deny indefinability

(they know what god wants,

or they know the truth) -

and to deny indefinability

is to deny wonder.

IV

And so,

since

reality is a wonder

beyond all definition -

we must conclude

that to not see indefinable wonder,

to not feel it,

to not hold up every daily decision

to it -

is to be living outside reality.

And to be living outside reality

is insanity.

And a civilization living outside reality

is a collective insanity.

Is insanity is reversible?

Is it possible to love the insects again,

to hear the trees chatting with the stars,

to see infinite space in each other´s eyes,

to know nothing again?

Collectively, who knows!

Individually, of course!

Because

you are a wonder

beyond all definition.
