This Easter the Conscious Tribes Movement's Spring Retreat will be held on our new land at Fuenvaleria, near the town of Bolea (Huesca, Aragon), from Wednesday April 1st to Sunday April 5th * We will be a Conscious Tribe for a few days... What´s a Conscious Tribe? A Conscious Tribe shares the indefinable path of feeling, and relating and acting from, one´s own, unique reality. And what happens when people come together in this way? We co-create an atmosphere of deep presence and love. We will live together—close to the earth, simply, in tents—nourished by contact with the trees, the birds, and the full moon. We will deepen into the Conscious Relating meditation, there will be sharing circles, we´ll cook together, there will be time to walk in the pre-pyrenean countryside - and time to do nothing. Supported by the peace, silence, and beauty of the countryside, we´ll focus on experiencing the deep intimacy (with ourselves, with each other, and with our surroundings) that arises when each person remains within their own reality—and also, tenderly open. This "state of being" can be called The Inner Marriage — the marriage of the unwavering "masculine" commitment to remain within one's own reality with the bodily and energetic "feminine" pleasure of being tenderly open to one´s present moment experience. This retreat is not intended to be a magic wand. It doesn't promise to take you to The Inner Marriage forever. But it will offer you the possibility of experiencing it—and will provide you with understandings and tools to be able to continue on the path of The Inner Marriage when you return to your daily life. I Érase una vez, sobre una roca, un hombre que quería saber la verdad. La roca estaba a la sombra de un viejo olivo, junto a un sendero polvoriento. Y el hombre que quería saber la verdad descansaba allí, pues llevaba mucho, mucho tiempo caminando. El hombre vestía harapos, y diversas especies de insectos anidaban cómodamente en su abundante barba. De joven, había querido saber la verdad - porque (según su joven mente) si sabía la verdad, entonces podría ser verdadero. Así que, un Equinoccio de Primavera abandonó la granja donde había pasado su infancia, y emprendió un peregrinaje - con solo una bolsa de pasas en el bolsillo, una manta de lana para las noches y ni una sola moneda. Sus padres, su hermano y su hermana le habían mirado mientras salía por la verja de la granja. “¡Quédate aquí y ara los campos con tu padre!” le había suplicado su padre. “¡Quédate aquí y dame nietos!” le había suplicado su madre. “¡No tardes mucho!” le había gritado su hermana, con lágrimas en los ojos. “¡Tráenos mucha verdad!” le había gritado su hermano, feliz - aunque solo tenía tres años, y solo tenía una comprensión intuitiva del concepto. “¡Volveré para el próximo Equinoccio!” les había respondido, pero, por supuesto, nunca había regresado. Había buscado la verdad bajo las rocas. Había apartado el musgo. Había buscado la verdad dentro de los árboles. Había quitado la corteza. Había escuchado los discursos de las libélulas, y asistido a las conferencias de las ranas. Y los únicos humanos cuya sabiduría tenía algún sentido para él eran aquellos que decían “finalmente, hombre joven, sabrás que no sabes", pero eso, sentía él, no le servía de mucho. “No quiero arar los campos como mi padre - me siento llamado a algo más elevado” les había dicho a juglares iluminados, mendigos sabios y ermitaños en sus cuevas, pero ellos solo le habían respondido con acertijos – como “¿cuál es más elevado: el cerezo altísimo o el roble diminuto? ¿Qué ojos brillan más: los del zorro o los del topo? ¿Es mejor ser panadero, o comer pan y queso? ¿Puede existir algo fuera de todo?”, y cosas por el estilo. “O bien conocen la verdad y no quieren decírmela, o simplemente no la conocen” había razonado su mente orgullosa y apasionada - y siguió caminando... II Durante todo este peregrinaje, el hombre que quería saber la verdad estuvo acompañado por su Ángel Guardián. Bueno, obviamente, al fin y al cabo - ¡no hubiera sido muy buen Ángel Guardián si se hubiera quedado en la granja! Como el tuyo y como el mío, su Ángel no era visible ni audible. Tampoco se podía saborear ni oler. De hecho, su Ángel no era más que Amor – y comprendía plenamente, con gran empatía, que el hombre quería saber la verdad porque sentía que solo así podría ser verdadero Rara vez se encontraban con otras personas, pero en aquel día soleado de nuestra historia - mientras el Ángel custodiaba el cuerpo y el alma de su propio, amado humano barbudo, harapiento - otro peregrino se acercó por el sendero polvoriento. Este segundo peregrino se acercó, y se acercó, y finalmente preguntó “¿Le molestaría, buen señor, si me sentara a su lado, en esta roca a la sombra de este viejo olivo - porque llevo caminando mucho, mucho tiempo”. Era mucho más joven - pero también vestía harapos, y también daba albergue a los insectos en su barba. “Sea bienvenido. Por favor, siéntese, descanse”, dijo el peregrino mayor, y cortó una manzana con una piedra afilada y fina, y le dio la mitad a su nuevo amigo. “Eres demasiado amable” dijo el peregrino joven, y comenzaron a charlar. “Voy de camino a la Tierra de la Verdad” dijo el peregrino más joven, con cierto aire grandilocuente. “No soy como esos tontos que nunca preguntan dónde estamos, ni por qué estamos aquí” dijo, sin disculparse de su juicio brutal sobre la mayoría de la humanidad. “¡Y no me importa que mi familia me considere tonto!” “Mis padres también me llamaron tonto, cuando me fui de casa - hace muchos años”, respondió el peregrino mayor. El Ángel Guardián del peregrino más joven sonrió al Ángel Guardián del peregrino mayor, como diciendo “¡vaya, parece que aquí tenemos gemelos! Al igual que el tuyo, mi humano también rechaza la siembra y la cosecha, la compra y la venta, la carpintería y el tejido - por considerarlos ´más bajos´. Al igual que el tuyo, él también siente que la búsqueda de la verdad es, de alguna manera, ´más elevada´. Y el Ángel Guardián del peregrino mayor le devolvió la sonrisa, como diciendo “¡efectivamente, así parece!”. Y los dos Ángeles también se hicieron amigos - y también comenzaron a charlar. “Lo que me desconcierta” dijo el Ángel Guardián del peregrino más joven, “es por qué almas como estas querrían abandonar El Mundo en el que La Verdad es Visible para venir aquí, al Mundo Terrenal con la intención precisa de quedarse veladas, de que la Verdad quede temporalmente oculta, de dejarse encantar por un mundo de ilusiones - y luego pasar toda su vida luchando contra ello, intentando romper el velo, suplicando a la Verdad que se revele, decididas a despertar del encantamiento de la ilusión”. “Ya veo, ya veo” respondió el Ángel Guardíán del peregrino mayor, “veo que ves una contradicción. Veo que te resulta tan desconcertante. Yo, por mi parte, lo veo como un viaje-vital como cualquier otro”. III Ahora… por qué sucedió lo que entonces sucedió – no lo sé. No sé por qué las leyes de la naturaleza se suspendieron temporalmente, ni por qué de repente los dos peregrinos harapientos pudieron oír a sus dos Ángeles Guardianes. Pero eso fue exactamente lo que ocurrió. Los dos peregrinos oyeron cada palabra de su conversación angelical. “¡Dios mío!” exclamó el peregrino más joven, “¡lo hemos hecho todo mal! ¡Lo hemos entendido todo al revés! Creíamos que buscábamos la Verdad, creíamos que buscábamos alinear nuestras vidas con el Flujo del Universo - y sin embargo, hemos vivido en oposición. ¡Hemos pasado nuestras vidas luchando contra la realidad! Creíamos que la gente materialista le había dado la espalda a La Verdad - y sin embargo éramos nosotros quienes nos negábamos a rendirnos. ¡Qué dementes y arrogantes hemos sido! ¡Ay de nosotros! ¡Ay, ay, ay!” lamentó, y cayó al suelo polvoriento sollozando. Los dos Ángeles Guardianes se sorprendieron tanto como los dos peregrinos, y también ellos cayeron de rodillas. Pero no lloraban lágrimas de dolor, sino de alegría - pues sabían que estaban en Presencia de Milagro. ¡Que ambos humanos pudieran oír a ambos ángeles - eso era milagroso! ¡Y eso era precisamente lo que estaba ocurriendo! Habían oído historias de miles de Ángeles que acompañaban a miles de humanos a través de miles de encarnaciones - pero jamás habían oído nada parecido. Sabían que los dos peregrinos habían sido bendecidos. “¿Así que ahora podéis oírnos?” preguntaron los Ángeles Guardianes al pererino mayor, que permanecía sentado bajo el olivo. “Podemos” respondió muy, muy suavemente - pues no estaba angustiado. Sentía una ternura que nunca antes había conocido. “¿Siempre habéis estado aquí, con nosotros?” preguntó. “Sí” respondieron los Ángeles Guardianes. Y sintió que su pecho se llenaba de tanta gratitud que apenas podía mantenerse en su cuerpo. “Levántate” le indicaron los Ángeles Guardianes al peregrino más joven. Y se puso de pie, torpemente, humilde, sorbiendo por la nariz, secándose las mejillas húmedas con las mangas - ahora también, gradualmente llegando a estar consciente de la Presencia de Milagro. “Has malinterpretado” explicaron los Ángeles, “no hay nada malo en la vida que habéis elegido. Puede que a algunos Ángeles les resulte desconcertante, pero eso no significa que hayáis cometido un error. El Camino de la Verdad es un camino perfectamente válido. Habéis seguido vuestras propias naturalezas, tal como todo ser humano sigue la suya. Vuestra única arrogancia ha sido pensar que cualquier camino elegido es mejor que cualquier otro. Vuestra única arrogancia ha sido pensar que estar interesado en la Verdad es mejor que no estar interesado”. Y los dos peregrinos se sintieron superados por un sentido desconocido de libertad. Ellos también se sintieron superados por Milagro. EPÍLOGO Pasó un mes y los dos peregrinos y los dos Ángeles Guardianes se hicieron muy buenos amigos - contándose chistes e historias mientras recorrían los polvorientos caminos rurales. “¿Así que podría haber vivido mi vida en la granja con mi familia, arado los campos con mi padre, casado - y buscado la Verdad al mismo tiempo?” preguntó, un día, el peregrino mayor, con un ligero tono de tristeza. “Sí, por supuesto” respondió su Ángel Guardián, “pero eso no estaba en tu naturaleza - tu naturaleza es más extrema - y es en sus formas extremas donde las cosas y las ideas se ven y se comprenden con mayor claridad - ¡por eso fuiste elegido para este cuento!” * Mark Josephs, "Mark el Activista Místico", Aragón, España, Primavera 2026  "Siento que El Movimiento Tribus Conscientes lleva algo hermoso, profundo, poderoso e importante. I Once upon a time, on a rock, there sat a man who wanted to know the truth. The rock was in the shade of an old olive tree, by the side of a dusty path. And the man who wanted to know the truth was resting there, because he had been walking for a very, very long time. The man was clothed in rags, and various species of insect nested comfortably in his ample beard. As a young man he had wanted to know the truth - because (his young mind had reasoned) if he knew the truth, then he could be true. So one Spring Equinox he had left the farm where he had been a boy, and set out on a pilgrimage - with only a bag of raisins in his pocket, a woollen blanket for the night, and not a single coin. His parents and brother and sister had watched as he had walked through the farm gate. “Stay here and plough the fields with your father!” his father had beseeched him. “Stay here and give me grandchildren!” his mother had beseeched him. “Don´t be long!” his sister had called out, with tears in her eyes. “Bring us back lots of truth!” his brother had called out, happily - although he was only three, and only had an intuitive grasp of the concept. “I´ll be back by next Equinox!” he had called back but, of course, he had never returned. He had looked under rocks for the truth. He had pulled back the moss. He had looked inside trees for the truth. He had pulled away the bark. He had listened to the discourses of the dragon flies, and attended the conferences of the frogs. And the only humans whose wisdom made any sense to him were the ones who said “finally, young man, you will know you do not know” - but that, he felt, wasn´t much help at all. “I don´t want to plough the fields like my father – I feel called to something higher” he had told enlightened minstrels, wise beggars and hermits in their caves, but they had only replied with riddles - like “which is higher: the very tall cherry tree, or the very small oak? Whose eyes shine the brightest: the eyes of the fox, or the eyes of the mole? Is it better to be a baker, or eat bread and cheese? Can anything exist outside of everything?”, and so on. “Either they know the truth and they don´t want to tell me, or they just don´t know it” his proud and passionate mind had reasoned – and on he had walked... II Throughout this pilgrimage the man who wanted to know the truth was accompanied by his Guardian Angel. Well, obviously, after all - he wouldn´t have been much of a Guardian Angel if he´d stayed on the farm! Like yours and like mine, his Angel was not visible or audible. Nor could it be tasted or smelled. In fact, his Angel was nothing but Love – and fully, empathically understood that the man wanted to know the truth because he felt that only then could he be true. The two of them rarely met others, but on the sunny day of our tale - as the Angel guarded the body and soul of his very own, beloved, bearded, ragged human - another pilgrim approached along the dusty path. This second pilgrim got closer, and closer, and finally asked “would it disturb you, good sir, if I sat down beside you, on this rock in the shade of this old olive tree – for I have been walking for a very long time?” He was much younger – but he too wore rags, and he too gave insects a home in his beard. “You are most welcome. Please, sit, rest” said the older pilgrim - and he sliced an apple with a sharp, thin stone, and gave his new friend half. “You are too kind” said the younger pilgrim, and the two of them began to chat. “I am traveling to the Land of Truth" said the younger pilgrim, somewhat grandly. “I am not like those fools who never ask where we are, or why we are here” he said, without apologising for his brutal judgement upon the majority of humanity. “And I don´t care that my family think me a fool!” “My parents called me a fool too, when I left home – many years ago” replied the older pilgrim. The Guardian Angel of the younger pilgrim smiled at the Guardian Angel of the older pilgrim - as if to say “well it looks as if we have twins here! Like yours, my human also rejects sowing and harvesting, and buying and selling, and woodwork and weaving – as being ´lower´. Like yours, he also feels the pursuit of truth is somehow´higher´”. And the Guardian Angel of the older pilgrim smiled back, as if to say “it does indeed seem to be so!” And the two Angels also became friends, and also began to chat. “What puzzles me” said the younger pilgrim´s Guardian Angel, “is why souls like these would want to leave The World in which The Truth is Visible to come here to The Earth World with the precise intention of being veiled, of having Truth temporarily concealed, of letting themselves be enchanted by a world of illusions - and then spend their entire lives fighting it, attempting to break through the veil, begging Truth to reveal itself, determined awaken from the enchantment of illusion.” “I see, I see” replied the Guardian Angel of the older pilgrim, “I see how you see a contradiction. I see how you find it so puzzling. I myself see it as a life-journey like any other”. III Now... why what happened next happened - I do not know. I do not know why the laws of nature were temporarily suspended, and why suddenly the two ragged pilgrims were able to hear their two Guardian Angels. But that is exactly what happened. The two pilgrims heard every word of their angelic conversation. “Oh my goodness” cried the younger pilgrim, “we´ve done it all wrong! We´ve had it all back to front! We thought we were seeking Truth, we thought we were seeking to align our lives with the Flow of the Universe – and yet we have been living in opposition. We have spent our lives fighting reality! We thought materialistic people had turned their back on The Truth - and yet it was us who were refusing to surrender. Oh how deluded and arrogant we have been! Oh woe are we! Oh woe, oh woe, oh woe” he wailed, and he fell to the dusty ground sobbing. The two Guardian Angels were as surprised as the two pilgrims, and they too fell to their knees. But their were not crying tears of pain, they were crying tears of joy - for they knew themselves to be in the Presence of Miracle. That both human beings could hear both Angels – this was miraculous! And that was what was happening! They had heard tales of thousands of Angels accompanying thousands of humans through thousands of incarnations - but they had never heard of anything like this! They knew the two pilgrims had been blessed. “So now you can both hear us?” the Guardian Angels asked the older pilgrim, who remained seated beneath the olive tree. “We can” he said very, very softly – for he was not distressed. He was feeling a tenderness he had never known before. “Have you always been here, with us?” he asked. “We have” the Guardian Angels replied. And he felt his chest so full of gratitude he could barely stay in his body. “Rise” the Guardian Angels instructed the younger pilgrim. And he stood up, awkwardly, humbly, sniffling, drying his wet cheeks with his sleeves – also, now, gradually becoming aware of the Presence of Miracle. “You have misunderstood” the Angels explained, “there is nothing wrong with the life you have chosen. It might puzzle some Angels, but that doesn´t mean you have made a mistake. The Path of Truth is a perfectly valid path. You have followed your own natures, just as every human being follows their nature. Your arrogance has been to think that any chosen path is better than any other. Your only arrogance had been to think that to be interested in the Truth is better than to not be interested in the Truth.” And two pilgrims were overcome by an unfamiliar sense of freedom. They too were overcome by miracle. POSTSCRIPT A month passed and the two pilgrims and the two Guardian Angels became great friends – telling each other jokes and stories, as they walked the dusty country lanes. "So I could have lived my life on the farm with my family, and ploughed the fields with my father, and taken a wife - and sought Truth at the same time?" the older pilgrim asked, one day, slightly sadly. Pero Amor & Revolución no es una lectura rápida. Es un libro con contenido que invita a la reflexión, entretejido con relatos y poemas - y hay que estudiarlo detenidamente si quieres llegar a las recomendaciones prácticas. Por eso, yo, Mark, estoy preparando ´El Manual Tribus Conscientes: Concepto y Método´ - un manual conciso que explica el concepto de las Tribus Conscientes y ofrece recomendaciones claras sobre cómo formar tu propia Tribu Consciente. El manual tiene tres secciones: Parte 1. ¿Qué es una Tribu Consciente? Parte 2. ¿Cómo Viajar Juntos como una Tribu Consciente? Parte 3: ¿Cómo Crear y Sostener una Tribu Consciente? El manual irá acompañado de dos volúmenes complementarios: un libro de ensayos, y un libro de cuentos y poemas. Estos dos libros ampliarán la concisa presentación del manual, explorarán temas relacionados y (al igual que Amor & Revolución) serán libros para leer despacio y meditar. Mi más sincero deseo de corazón es que el manual haga que el concepto y el método de las Tribus Conscientes resulten más claros y accesibles, y que inspire a la gente a crear una Tribu Consciente propia. UN AJUSTE FINO FILOSÓFICO En Amor & Revolución, y en muchos de mis artículos, hablo de la Honestidad Radical como el entendimiento central compartido de toda Tribu Consciente. La Honestidad Radical: el entendimiento de que cada persona solo experimenta su propia realidad única - que la experiencia de cualquiera en cualquier momento es subjetiva, limitada y falible. Aunque sigo creyendo que se trata de un entendimiento vital - un entendimiento que nos mantiene a todos en contacto con nosotros mismos, y humildes, iguales y respetuosos los unos con los otros - choca con otro entendimiento igualmente importante que también reside en ´el corazón compartido´ de una Tribu Consciente. Y este es: la interconexión del Gran Misterio de la Existencia, la Unidad de la Realidad - que nosotros mismos somos Expresiones Únicas del Gran Misterio, ´parte de´ El Gran Misterio, entretejidos inextricablemente en el tejido del Gran Misterio - y que, por lo tanto, somos El Gran Misterio. En otras palabras, la Honestidad Radical es solo “una cara de la moneda” del sentimiento/intuición/comprensión fundamental que une a una Tribu Consciente. Sí, los miembros de una Tribu Consciente sienten que todos vivimos en nuestras propias realidades - y, sin embargo, simultáneamente, paradójicamente, también sienten que Somos Uno. ¡Sienten que estamos simultáneamente ineludiblemente solos, e ineludiblemente unidos! Por eso, en el próximo manual y en los dos volúmenes complementarios, en lugar de hablar de la Honestidad Radical (“solo tenemos nuestras realidades únicas”) como el entendimiento fundamental que sustenta una Tribu Consciente, utilizaré el término ´Unidad y Subjetividad´ para describir con mayor precisión la visión profunda, compleja, sutil y paradójica que comparten los miembros de una Tribu Consciente. UN ARCOÍRIS SOBRE FUENVALERIA LA FORMACIÓN DE ACOMPAÑANTES El manual explica que La Unidad y Subjetividad constituye el concepto existencial u ontológico fundamental que une a una Tribu Consciente - y que una Tribu Consciente comparte un Camino de Aprendizaje: el camino de experimentar (y no solo comprender) nuestra Unidad y Subjetividad simultáneas. Y explica que La Práctica de Relaciones Conscientes ha sido diseñada para apoyar ese Camino de Aprendizaje. En otras palabras, el manual recomienda La Práctica de Relaciones Conscientes como una forma de unir los corazones de las personas y comenzar a recorrer juntos el Camino de Aprendizaje experiencial. Por eso estamos creando ahora un nuevo programa de formación - para ayudar a las personas que se han visto conmovidas por La Práctica de las Relaciones Conscientes a poder presentar la práctica a otros. THE ACCOMPANIERS TRAINING + A Note About The Membership Programme * THE NEW CONSCIOUS TRIBES MANUAL At the moment, if you want to find out about The Conscious Tribes Movement, and get practical recommendations for starting a Conscious Tribe of your own, you need to read Love & Revolution. But Love & Revolution is a not a quick read. It´s a book with content to meditate upon, interlaced with stories and poems – and you have to study it closely if you want to get to the practical recommendations. So I, Mark, am preparing ´The Conscious Tribes Manual: Concept & Method´ - a concise manual that explains the Conscious Tribes concept, and gives clear recommendations as to how to form a Conscious Tribe of your own. The manual has three sections: Part 1. What´s A Conscious Tribe? Part 2. How To Travel Together as a Conscious Tribe? Part 3: How To Create and Sustain a Conscious Tribe? A PHILOSOPHICAL FINE TUNING In Love & Revolution, and in many of my articles, I talk about Radical Honesty as the core, shared understanding at the heart of every Conscious Tribe. Radical Honesty: the understanding that each of us only ever experiences their own unique reality - that everyone´s experience of any moment is subjective, limited and fallible. While I still feel this is a vital understanding – an understanding that keeps us all in touch with ourselves, and humble, and equal, and respectful of each other – it clashes with another, equally important understanding that also resides in ´the shared heart´ of a Conscious Tribe. And that is: the interconnectedness of The Great Mystery of Existence, the Oneness of Reality – that we ourselves are Unique Expressions of The Great Mystery, ´part of´ The Great Mystery, woven inextricably into the fabric of The Great Mystery – and that, therefore, we are The Great Mystery. In other words, Radical Honesty is only “one side of the coin” of the core feeling/intuition/understanding that unites a Conscious Tribe. Yes, the members of a Conscious Tribe feel we all live in our own realities - and yet, simultaneously, paradoxically, they also feel We Are One. They feel that we are simultaneously inescapably alone, and inescapably united! So in the upcoming manual, and the two companion volumes, instead of writing about Radical Honesty (“we only have our unique realities”) as the foundational understanding that sustains a Conscious Tribe, I will be using the term ´Unity & Subjectivity´ to more accurately describe the profound, complex, subtle, paradoxical understanding the members of a Conscious Tribe share. A RAINBOW OVER FUENVALERIA THE ACCOMPANIERS TRAINING The manual explains Unity & Subjectivity as the core existential or ontological concept that unites a Conscious Tribe - and that a Conscious Tribe shares a Learning Path: the path of experiencing (not just understanding) our simultaneous Unity and Subjectivity. And it explains that The Practice of Conscious Relating has been designed to support that Learning Path. In other words, the manual recommends The Practice of Conscious Relating as a way of bringing people´s hearts together - and beginning to walk the experiential Learning Path together.  This is why we are now setting up a new training programme - to help people who have been touched by The Practice of Conscious Relating be able introduce the practice to others. The training is free, and consists of four sessions. Session 1: How do we understand The Practice, The Path, and The Context (Conscious Tribes)? And how do we communicate this? Sessions 2 & 3: How do we facilitate The Practice? And how can we support someone so that they come to appreciate The Practice more and more? Societies Are Relational Energy Fields. Therefore - To Change Society We Must Change The Way We Relate. However - The Way We Relate Depends On Our Beliefs. Therefore -   To Change The Way We Relate We Must Change Our Beliefs. What Is A Society? What does the definition in the title - “societies are relational energy fields" – really mean? Individuals aren't societies. Societies emerge when individuals come together. When they relate. And the type of society they form depends on how they relate – on the kind of relational energy field they co-create. This is how I understand the definition "societies are relational energy fields". What Shapes A Society? So the kind of society people will co-create depends on how they relate when they come together. And how they relate will depend on their beliefs, and the values that emerge from those beliefs.. For example - people who believe in a judgemental deity that rewards obedience (and punishes disobedience) to its decrees, value conformity and disapprove of individualism - and this leads to very specific, strict ways in which everyone is expected to relate (and punished if they don´t). Basing themselves on such beliefs and values they co-create a relational energy field that (in their eyes) supports everyone in receiving the deity´s approval and avoiding its wrath. A very different society emerges from people who believe the universe is a random, amoral, inter-species and intra-species battle for domination. In contrast to the previous society, these people value power, with all of its accoutrements – wealth, fame, influence, and so on – creating an individualistic, competitive, combative relational energy field. This doesn´t mean that everyone in such a society is competitive (just as in an obedience-society not everyone is unquestioning and compliant). People survive the dominant relational energy field of their society in their own ways, and there are endless counter-currents and sub-cultures in every society. But in a meaningless-universe/power-valuing society the overarching field will be competitive. Education will be characterised by exams, business will be a fight for market supremacy, sport will be about winning or losing, and everyday life will be a jostling, hedonistic consumer pursuit of luxury and comfort. Beliefs And Values Of A Respectful Society So if we don´t want to live in a relational energy field of obedience/disobedience, nor in an energy field of individualism and competition – if we want to live in an energy field of Mutual Respect – then what are the beliefs and values from which such a field/society would emerge? And how do we go about co-creating it? After many decades contemplating this question I have come to the opinion that the following beliefs would be foundational for the co-creation of a respectful relational energy field - a respectful society: (1) Recognising that human perception, feeling, thought and intuition is limited and fallible, we believe that we do not fully know The Truth about Existence. (2) Although we recognise that we don´t fully understand Existence Itself, we believe that we ourselves, every other person, and every living creature belongs to , or is part of , The Magnificent Mystery of Existence. (3) In fact, we believe we are all unique expressions , or unique manifestations , of the Magnificent Mystery of Existence. And what are the values that emerge from these beliefs? Not obedience, not competition – but respect. Respect for existence – for creation, for life itself. Respect for ourselves. And respect for each other. Respect. And equality. And unity. But could the creation of respectful society on Earth be that simple? If we opened to these beliefs would human society be transformed? Yes, I believe it would! But... The opening is not that simple! To open to these beliefs - and feel them, and live them – to be able to live in respect, equality and unity - can take a lifetime of commitment to The Path of Self Knowledge. Why? The Personal Path Towards The Beliefs And Values Of A Respectful Society It can take a moment to accept these beliefs, intellectually. But it can take a lifetime to understand them - and embody them. Firstly, because it takes enormous courage and humility to admit that one does not fully know The Truth about Existence. It requires great centredness and honesty – a kind of stable emotional nakedness. And this can take many years to evolve within us – gradually enabling us to live on the edge - embracing our fear, not seeking refuge in certainties, experiencing the freedom of a life beyond definitions. And (to be clear) “to not know” does not mean we can´t believe in God or The Goddess, or Universal Love, or The Oneness or The Tao – or believe that only matter exists, that there is no co-ordinating intelligence – that the cosmos is empty of meaning and feeling. It means that we acknowledge the fragility of our beliefs. It means that we acknowledge that the beliefs of others are as valid as our own - that however passionately we might believe in God, our belief is in no way superior to the belief of the Atheist. And vice versa, of course. It means that we acknowledge that none of us knows everything - that every perspective is limited - that we are all looking up at the stars through our own, limited, unique eyes - and accepting that everyone has their reasons for concluding what they conclude. Nor is “not-knowing” agnosticism - because it doesn´t see agnosticism as the superior stance. In fact, it is the renunciation of all superiority! Which brings us to the other reason why I feel the beliefs I propose as foundational for the co-creation of a respectful society (a respectful relational energy field) might not be as easy or obvious as they initially seem... To accept that we are all part of “the same thing” (existence) - and that therefore (although we are all unique) We Are One – and that nobody is superior (or inferior) to anyone else - also requires enormous courage, humility, strength and openness. The ego thrives on overt and clandestine superiority – so the renunciation of superiority/inferiority (the embrace of our total existential equality) is the ultimate insult to the ego! And it usually takes many years of inner-work to get to know the many faces of the ego, and give them space, and love them all – so that, gradually, it accepts one as its guide through life – instead of being its servant (caught in its fantasies of superiority/inferiority). We Can´t Learn Relationality Alone Finally, obviously - we cannot learn to relate respectfully (in not-knowing, belonging and equality) alone! We need each other in order to practice this depth of relating. I will put a link at the end of this essay to the Conscious Relating Groups we offer within the Conscious Tribes Movement. But I believe there is no one right way to learn to live, and relate from, such foundational beliefs. Call it forming a community, forming a tribe, or forming a support group – to me, it doesn´t matter! In one way or another, using one set of techniques or another, we need to come together. If we want to change society, if we want to co-create a society that is respectful of everyone´s uniqueness - for ourselves and our children and the generations to come – and if we understand that societies are relational energy fields dependent upon our underlying beliefs – then we need to (a) examine our beliefs, then (b) consider whether our beliefs generate respect, and (c) support each other in educating ourselves in living our beliefs. This means coming together and co-creating respectful relational fields – microcosms of the societies we envision. Then we´ll really know what we´re talking about! We need to experience the shared, self-educational journey. We need to experience being together inside an energy field unlimited by certainties. We need to experience the relief of not being in (overt or subtle) competition with each other. And we need to know what inhibits us, and trips us up, and complicates the journey. This means coming together regularly, for a long time. It means experiencing the open, respectful energy field, and also the closed, tense, neurotic field – and learning how to transit back into openness. And over time, of course, as we travel together in this way – we come to know each other, deeply. To be blunt - we come to love each other. Las Sociedades Son Campos Energéticos Relacionales. Por Lo Tanto - Para Cambiar La Sociedad, Debemos Cambiar Nuestra Forma De Relacionarnos. Sin Embargo, Nuestra Forma De Relacionarnos Depende De Nuestras Creencias. Por Lo Tanto, Para Cambiar Nuestra Forma De Relacionarnos, Debemos Cambiar Nuestras Creencias. ¿ Qué Es Una Sociedad? ¿Qué significa realmente la definición del título - "las sociedades son campos energéticos relacionales"? Los individuos no son sociedades. Las sociedades surgen cuando los individuos se unen. Cuando se relacionan. Y el tipo de sociedad que forman depende de cómo se relacionan - del tipo de campo energético relacional que co-crean. Así es como entiendo la definición de "las sociedades son campos energéticos relacionales". ¿Qué Moldea Una Sociedad? Así pues, el tipo de sociedad que las personas co-crearán depende de cómo se relacionen al unirse. Y cómo se relacionen dependerá de sus creencias, y de los valores que surjan de ellas. Por ejemplo, quienes creen en una deidad prejuiciosa que recompensa la obediencia (y castiga la desobediencia) a sus decretos, valoran la conformidad y desaprueban el individualismo. Esto lleva a formas muy específicas y estrictas en las que se espera que todos se relacionen (y se castiga si no lo hacen). Basándose en tales creencias y valores, co-crean un campo de energía relacional que (a su juicio) apoya a todos para recibir la aprobación de la deidad y evitar su ira. Una sociedad muy diferente surge de quienes creen que el universo es una batalla aleatoria, amoral, inter-especies e intra-especies por la dominación. A diferencia de la sociedad anterior, estas personas valoran el poder, con todos sus accesorios - riqueza, fama, influencia, etc. - creando un campo de energía relacional individualista, competitivo y combativo. Esto no significa que todos en una sociedad así sean competitivos (así como en una sociedad de obediencia no todos son sin dudas y obedientes). Cada persona sobrevive al campo energético relacional dominante de su sociedad a su manera, y existen infinitas contra-corrientes y sub-culturas en toda sociedad. Pero en una sociedad de universo-sin-sentido/valoración-del-poder, el campo dominante será la competencia. La educación se caracterizará por los exámenes, los negocios serán una lucha por la supremacía del mercado, el deporte se centrará en ganar o perder, y la vida cotidiana será una búsqueda hedonista, compitiendo entre sí, del lujo y la comodidad. Creencias y Valores De una Sociedad Respetuosa Si no queremos vivir en un campo energético relacional de obediencia/desobediencia, ni en uno de individualismo y competencia, sino en un campo energético de Respeto Mutuo - ¿cuáles son las creencias y valores de los que surgiría dicho campo/sociedad? ¿Y cómo podemos co-crearlo? Tras décadas reflexionando sobre esta cuestión, he llegado a la conclusión de que las siguientes creencias serían fundamentales para la co-creación de un campo energético relacional respetuoso - una sociedad respetuosa: (1) Reconociendo que la percepción, el sentimiento, el pensamiento y la intuición humanos son limitados y falibles, creemos que no conocemos completamente la Verdad sobre La Existencia. (2) Aunque reconocemos que no comprendemos completamente la Existencia en Sí, creemos que nosotros mismos, todas las demás personas, y toda criatura viviente pertenecemos a , o formamos parte de , El Magnífico Misterio de la Existencia. (3) De hecho, creemos que todos somos expresiones únicas , o manifestaciones únicas , del Magnífico Misterio de la Existencia. ¿Y cuáles son los valores que surgen de estas creencias? No la obediencia, ni la competencia - sino el respeto. Respeto por la existencia - por la creación, por la vida misma. Respeto por nosotros mismos. Y respeto por los demás. Respeto. E igualdad. Y unidad. Pero ¿podría ser tan simple la creación de la sociedad respetuosa en la Tierra? Si nos abriéramos a estas creencias, ¿se transformaría la sociedad humana? ¡Sí, creo que sí! Pero... ¡Abrirse no es tan sencillo! Abrirse a estas creencias – y sentirlas, y vivirlas - para poder vivir en respeto, igualdad y unidad - puede requerir toda una vida de compromiso con el Camino del Auto-conocimiento. ¿Por qué? El Camino Personal Hacia Las Creencias Y Valores De Una Sociedad Respetuosa Aceptar estas creencias intelectualmente puede llevar un momento. Pero comprenderlas y encarnarlas puede llevar toda una vida. En primer lugar, porque se requiere enorme valentía y humildad para admitir que no se conoce completamente La Verdad sobre la Existencia. Requiere tener un centro muy fuerte y mucha honestidad - una especie de desnudez emocional estable. Y esto puede tardar muchos años en desarrollarse dentro de nosotros - permitiéndonos gradualmente vivir al límite - abrazando nuestro miedo, sin refugiarnos en certezas, experimentando la libertad de una vida más allá de las definiciones. Y (para que quede claro), "no-saber" no significa que no podamos creer en Dios, la Diosa, el Amor Universal, la Unidad o el Tao - ni creer que solo existe la materia, que no hay una inteligencia que todo lo coordine - que el cosmos está vacío de significado y sentimiento. Significa que reconocemos la fragilidad de nuestras creencias. Significa que reconocemos que las creencias de los demás son tan válidas como las nuestras - que por muy apasionadamentes que creamos en Dios, nuestra creencia no es en absoluto superior a la del Ateo. Y viceversa, por supuesto. Significa que reconocemos que nadie lo sabe todo - que cada perspectiva es limitada - que todos miramos las estrellas a través de nuestros propios ojos, limitados y únicos - y aceptamos que cada uno tiene sus razones para llegar a sus conclusiones. Y el "no-saber" tampoco es agnosticismo - porque no considera el agnosticismo la postura superior. De hecho, ¡es la renuncia a toda superioridad! Lo cual nos lleva a la otra razón por la que considero que las creencias que propongo como fundamentales para la co-creación de una sociedad respetuosa (un campo energético relacional respetuoso) podrían no ser tan fáciles ni obvias como parecen inicialmente... Aceptar que todos formamos parte de "lo mismo" (la existencia) - y, por lo tanto, (aunque seamos todos únicos) Somos Uno - y que nadie es superior (ni inferior) a nadie - también requiere enorme valentía, humildad, fuerza y apertura. El ego se nutre de la superioridad, tanto manifiesta como discreta - por lo que renunciar a la superioridad/inferioridad (abrazar nuestra total igualdad existencial) ¡es el mayor insulto al ego! Y suele requerir muchos años de trabajo interior para conocer las múltiples caras del ego, darles espacio, y amarlas a todas - de modo que, gradualmente, acepte a uno como su guía en la vida – en vez de ser su sirviente (atrapado en sus fantasías de superioridad/inferioridad). No Podemos Aprender A Relacionarnos Respetuosamente Solos Finalmente, obviamente - ¡no podemos aprender a relacionarnos respetuosamente (en el no-saber, la pertenencia y la igualdad) solos! Nos necesitamos unos a otros para practicar esta profundidad de relación. Pero creo que no existe una única forma correcta de aprender a vivir, y relacionarse a partir de, tales creencias fundamentales. Llámalo formar una comunidad, formar una tribu, o formar un grupo de apoyo - ¡para mí, no importa! De una forma u otra, utilizando un conjunto de técnicas u otro, debemos unirnos. Si queremos cambiar la sociedad, si queremos co-crear una sociedad que respete la singularidad de cada uno - para nosotros mismos, nuestros hijos y las generaciones venideras - y si entendemos que las sociedades son campos de energía relacionales que dependen de nuestras creencias subyacentes, entonces necesitamos (a) examinar nuestras creencias, luego (b) considerar si nuestras creencias generan respeto, y (c) apoyarnos para educarnos a nosotros mismos en cómo vivir nuestras creencias. Esto significa unirse y co-crear campos relacionales respetuosos - microcosmos de las sociedades que imaginamos. ¡Entonces sabremos realmente de qué estamos hablando! Necesitamos experimentar el viaje compartido, auto-educativo. Necesitamos experimentar el estar juntos dentro de un campo energético no limitado por certezas. Necesitamos experimentar el alivio de no estar en competencia (abierta o sutil) entre nosotros. Y necesitamos saber qué nos inhibe, qué nos hace tropezar, y qué complica el viaje. Esto significa reunirse regularmente, durante mucho tiempo. Significa experimentar el campo de energía abierto y respetuoso, y el campo cerrado, tenso y neurótico también - y aprender a transitar de regreso a la apertura. Y con el tiempo, por supuesto, a medida que viajamos juntos de esta manera, llegamos a conocernos profundamente. Para ser franco - llegamos a amarnos. A small online community will be forming in 2026 to explore Conscious Relating. Conscious Tribes are based on Conscious Relating because when we relate consciously we co-create an exquisite energy field of presence and love - and Conscious Tribes learn to live within that kind of conscious field - because if we don't live within a conscious field - how can we co-create conscious cultures?! But you don't have to be thinking about forming a Conscious Tribe to join this online group. Everyone is welcome to join this new online community. Conscious Relating is based on these understandings: (1) That our hearts need to soften and let go - and humbly, honestly admit that we do not fully know The Absolute Truth .* (2) That our hearts need to soften and open to our belonging to the Great Absolute Truth   we don´t understand. Entrevista Radio Molins de Rei "Las Tribus Conscientes" RESUMEN El episodio de "Una Finestra Oberta al Món" (de la Radio Molins de Rei, Cataluña) gira en torno al Movimiento Tribus Conscientes y la necesidad de recuperar la comunidad, la intimidad y la conexión con la naturaleza en medio de la cultura moderna, urbanizada y digitalizada. Tras un breve interludio musical, se presenta el concepto y el movimiento que lo sustenta, centrándose en la idea de las tribus y la conciencia. Origen del Movimiento y Llegada al Estado Español (tiempo 4:30)) Mark Josephs explica que el Movimiento Tribus Conscientes nació en el suroeste de Inglaterra, en Totnes, un centro de estilo de vida alternativo con escuelas gratuitas, una universidad budista y el Movimiento Transición. Hace unos diez años trasladó el proyecto a España, inicialmente con un nombre diferente y más centrado en el género, como las raíces de lo que más tarde se convertiría en El Movimiento Tribus Conscientes. Cambio de Vida: de Cataluña al Silencio de Huesca (tiempo 6:00) Mark explica que, en la actualidad, el movimiento no cuenta con un centro físico, sino que se desarrolla principalmente en línea, aunque en Huesca han comprado un terreno para celebrar retiros. Relata su viaje por Caldetes y Sant Celoni, y cómo decidió mudarse a una zona menos poblada e industrializada para vivir en un entorno natural y silencioso, en profunda conexión con el paisaje y los robles que lo rodean. Crítica de la Cultura Moderna y la Necesidad de las Tribus (tiempo 8.02) A partir de la idea del silencio interior, Mark desarrolla una crítica de la cultura moderna, que considera urbanizada, industrializada, digitalizada y alejada de la naturaleza y de nuestra humanidad. Se aleja de la intimidad, de la conexión con la naturaleza y del apoyo mutuo. Ante este sufrimiento, el Movimiento Tribus Conscientes propone unirse y formar tribus como respuesta cultural y vital. Definición de la Tribu Consciente: Una Familia No-Biológic a (tiempo 10-18) Mark describe lo que entiende por Tribu Consciente: una evolución de la familia extendida del pasado, que ya no se basa en los lazos sanguíneos, sino en un camino compartido de auto-conocimiento. Las tribus son familias elegidas en las que todos se embarcan en un viaje interior compartido. No se limitan a la terapia de fin de semana, sino que buscan influir en la vida cotidiana: la forma de vivir, comer, vestir, viajar y relacionarse con los demás, de modo que el crecimiento personal no sea solo un pasatiempo, sino una transformación holística. Tribus en la Ciudad y Comunidades in Situ (15.51) Cuando se reanuda la entrevista, se disipa el estereotipo de que una tribu debe estar aislada. Mark explica que El Movimiento Tribus Conscientes ayuda a crear tribus donde ya vive gente. No todo el mundo puede ir a una ecoaldea, por lo que el objetivo es formar comunidades de 20 a 30 personas en el barrio o pueblo, que se reúnan semanalmente para fomentar la conexión emocional y el apoyo mutuo, sin abandonar sus vidas actuales. Igualdad Sagrada y Ausencia de Jerarquía Fija (tiempo 18.31) En respuesta a una pregunta sobre el liderazgo, Mark explica que en las tribus no existe una jerarquía fija. Se basa en la honestidad radical: todos reconocen que sus propias ideas y creencias son limitadas y que nadie posee la verdad absoluta. Cada uno puede tener su propio camino (Jesús, el Tai Chi, la meditación Budista, una Diosa...), pero con la conciencia de que nadie es superior. Esto crea una igualdad sagrada en la que cada persona es una expresión única del gran misterio. Puede haber un liderazgo temporal vinculado a tareas específicas (permacultura, música...), pero nunca una autoridad estable sobre la tribu. La Diversidad de las Tribus y la Transformación de lo Cotidiano (tiempo 25.52) Mark explica que cada tribu es diferente dependiendo del contexto: una tribu urbana no es lo mismo que una que compra un pueblo. Sin embargo, comparten la misma base: al sentirse parte del misterio y relacionarse en igualdad sagrada, la forma en que experimentan todo cambia. Aspiran a comer de forma sagrada, lo que les lleva a cuestionar los alimentos industrializados y, tal vez, a crear un huerto ecológico. Otra tribu puede centrarse más en la danza como lenguaje, pero siempre hay una tendencia común a vivir de forma más sencilla, compartir recursos y volver a formas de vida más naturales. Las Tribus como Semillas de una Nueva Cultura (tiempo 35.05) Se pregunta si el movimiento quiere cambiar la sociedad. Mark responde que cada tribu puede tener su propio enfoque —incluso abogados que trabajan para cambiar las leyes—, pero, sobre todo, las tribus se ven a sí mismas como semillas de una nueva cultura. A medida que las distintas tribus crecen y se conectan, pueden crear una red de comunidades que se convierte en una cultura alternativa. Las grandes culturas no son más que redes de comunidades, y cada tribu pone un «ladrillo» en la construcción de su propio proyecto de vida libre. Intervención del Ponente: Resumen y Pregunta sobre el "Despertar". (38.59) Una participante (Gabriela) ofrece una síntesis amplia: considera que El Movimiento Tribus Conscientes es un movimiento comunitario global que integra las culturas locales, la espiritualidad, los dones y los talentos, y que es muy beneficioso para reducir el estrés y el caos urbano. Lo vincula a movimientos como el capitalismo consciente y la crítica a los productos tóxicos (perfumes, champús, etc.). Desde una perspectiva astrológica, cree que este movimiento encarna el futuro como un giro disruptivo contra el sistema. Pregunta: ¿cómo consiguen que las personas salgan de su «matriz personal» y den el salto de conciencia para unirse a la tribu? Mark responde describiendo en detalle la Práctica de Relaciones Conscientes: meditación y respiración para conectar con el misterio, mirada sostenida para verse a uno mismo como una expresión única, trabajo con las interferencias internas (juicios, miedos) y, finalmente, diálogo consciente para integrar este estado en la vida cotidiana.
